Hotfix 1.0.2 Patch Notes: Quest Fixes and Official Stutter Workaround
Hotfix 1.0.2 went live on September 3, 2026 across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is a small, targeted patch: three quest blockers and one PC input fix. The more useful part for most players is what Rebel Wolves published alongside it, namely official workarounds for the two problems the hotfix does not yet solve.
What the hotfix changes
Quests
- Coen can now talk to Farkas even after every NPC around him has been killed, so the conversation no longer locks out.
- Lunka no longer gets lost while leading Coen during the tutorial.
- The Uriashi blacksmith can now craft a particular holy sword.
Gameplay
- PC only: controller dead zone adjusted, along with input issues that occurred while sprinting.
Official workarounds for what is not fixed yet
Rebel Wolves lists three issues as still under investigation and gives a workaround for two of them.
- Stuttering in Windowed or Borderless mode. Launch the game in Full Screen. This is the developer’s own recommendation, not a community guess.
- Crash while compiling shaders. Check that your BIOS is current. Rebel Wolves points specifically at the Oodle guidance from RAD Game Tools for affected Intel systems.
- Button mapping on a PS5 gamepad is missing, and no workaround has been offered.
If Full Screen does not resolve your stutter, our PC settings guide covers upscaling and frame generation, and the PC troubleshooting guide walks through shader and driver issues in order.
What came next
Rebel Wolves followed this up with Hotfix 1.0.3 on September 4, adding official DualSense support on PC — closing the PS5 gamepad mapping gap listed above.
